About
I am a Clinical Psychologist, supervisor and trainer with more than 14 years' experience across public health, not-for-profit and private practice settings.
I came to psychology because I have always been interested in people and their stories. Over the course of my career, I have become particularly interested in trauma—and the ways psychological wellbeing is affected by culture, identity, relationships and broader social and political contexts.
Where my work began
For around eight years, I worked with people from refugee and asylum-seeker backgrounds. This included supporting people affected by war, persecution, displacement, and prolonged uncertainty under Australia's punitive immigration system.
This work shaped my understanding of trauma and the ways that people's experiences and distress can be maintained or worsened by systemic injustice, discrimination and marginalisation.
Why I supervise and train
Working under such oppressive systems also took an emotional toll on my colleagues and I, as we struggled to work in line with our own ethics. Through this I developed an interest in the wellbeing of professionals providing care and working under systems of injustice.
Now, partly as a way of sustaining myself in the trauma field, and partly to be as useful as possible, I have diversified my practice to include supervision to support psychologists and other professionals in doing trauma work, and training to help build better practice in the workforce.
What I am committed to
Across all the services I offer, I am committed to offering a safe, affirming space for people of all identities, genders, relationship structures, neurotypes, and bodies, and services that are attentive to power, privilege, and systemic harm.
Outside of psychology
I enjoy watching women’s sports, playing futsal, being in the ocean and exploring with my partner, kids and our dog.

Acknowledgement
I acknowledge the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation as Traditional Owners of the land on which I work. I pay my respects to elders past and present. I also acknowledge that the people of this land hold knowledge about health practices and healing which have been practiced for thousands of years and lie outside Western medicine. Sovereignty was never ceded. It always was and always will be Aboriginal land.
I embrace diversity and strive to create a safe space for everyone.
