Psychological therapy
Online therapy for adults by telehealth Australia wide. I have particular experience working with diverse people who have experienced trauma, including complex and prolonged trauma.
Deciding to start therapy can feel daunting and be anxiety provoking. You potentially have some ideas about what you need help with or have maybe tried therapy in the past and found it didn't quite resonate or help you make sense of your experience.
You don't need to have everything figured out before you come to therapy. I can meet you where you're at and work collaboratively at a pace that feels okay with you to understand what is happening, identify what you would like to change and consider what approaches might be helpful.
I aim to be warm, compassionate and genuinely curious, and to keep the work collaborative rather than clinical. You are the expert on your own life; my job is to help you make sense of it and find a way forward that feels realistic.
Grounded in a systems view of mental health: our wellbeing is shaped not only by personal experiences and relationships, but also by the broader social, cultural, and structural contexts we live within.
I take an intersectional lens, acknowledging the impact of factors such as race, class, gender, sexuality, neurodivergence, disability, and marginalisation on how people experience distress and healing.
Approaches I draw on
I flexibly draw on evidence-based approaches that best meet your needs, including:
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Trauma-Focused CBT
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)
Parts work
I have particular experience working with people who have experienced trauma, including people affected by complex and prolonged trauma.
How trauma shows up
Trauma can influence how safe we feel, how we relate to other people, how we respond to stress and emotions, and how we understand ourselves. When trauma has happened repeatedly or within relationships or systems of power, its effects can be particularly complicated.
What the work involves
Therapy for trauma may involve developing greater stability and emotional regulation, understanding trauma responses, strengthening coping strategies and, when appropriate, processing traumatic memories.
Your pace
We can adjust the pace and areas of focus together as your needs and preferences change.
I work primarily with adults seeking help for:
Trauma and stress (developmental and family trauma, dissociation, PTSD, CPTSD, sexual assault, and abuse)
My practice is inclusive, culturally sensitive, and neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ affirming. I recognise that discrimination, marginalisation and other experiences of exclusion can have a significant impact on psychological wellbeing.
The current fee for a 50-60 min therapy consultation is $270. Payment is to be made in full on the day of your session, via stored credit or debit card.
Session fee
$270 for a 50 to 60 minute consultation, paid in full on the day of your session via stored credit or debit card.
With Medicare
Rebate $149.05 per session
Out of pocket $120.95 per session
Up to 10 sessions per calendar year with a mental health care plan from your GP.
Concession places
I hold a small caseload of concession fee clients for people in financial hardship. Please enquire to check availability.
No referral is needed to book. If your GP writes a Mental Health Treatment Plan you can claim a Medicare rebate on up to 10 sessions per calendar year, which reduces what you pay out of pocket.
The first session is about understanding what brought you here, what you would like to be different, and how you would like to work together. There is no expectation to tell your whole story straight away.
Trauma work is paced, and you decide what to focus on. The early phase is about understanding your experience and building skills to reduce and manage symptoms. Options for trauma reprocessing and parts work are available if, and when you feel ready.
All therapy is by telehealth, which means it is available wherever you live in Australia and can fit around work and family. If you need face-to-face sessions, I am not the right fit and would suggest looking for a local clinician.
Therapy is for adults. I do not see children or adolescents, I do not do couples work, nor do I undertake forensic work or assessments. I am not experienced with significant eating disorders, though I will see clients where this forms a part of a trauma presentation.

Acknowledgement
I acknowledge the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation as Traditional Owners of the land on which I work. I pay my respects to elders past and present. I also acknowledge that the people of this land hold knowledge about health practices and healing which have been practiced for thousands of years and lie outside Western medicine. Sovereignty was never ceded. It always was and always will be Aboriginal land.
I embrace diversity and strive to create a safe space for everyone.
